Opened in August 2010, the Bell MTS Iceplex is a 177,000 square foot multipurpose, state-of-the-art facility that is open year round. It consists of four rinks, each with NHL regulation size ice surfaces (200′ x 85′). In addition, the facility boasts a dedicated Goalie training centre (45’ x 37’), 22 player dressing rooms, high performance fitness and training facilities, a full service pro shop, licensed restaurant and lounge, concession and vending facilities as well as conference facilities.

The Bell MTS Iceplex provides between 11,000 and 13,000 hours of ice annually which serves the minor hockey community, adult recreation leagues, tournaments, summer camps and casual rentals.

Bell MTS Iceplex has been recognized as a Hockey Canada Centre of Excellence and was one of three venues that hosted the 2011 World Under 17 Hockey Challenge, a major international hockey tournament held by Hockey Canada each year.

Bell MTS Iceplex serves as the official practice and training facility of the Winnipeg Jets Hockey Club. The Jets play their home games out of the Bell MTS Place in downtown Winnipeg.

Winnipeg Jets Hockey Academy

Winnipeg Jets Hockey Academy

The Winnipeg Jets Hockey Academy provides opportunities to children who have few, if any, other recreational options. The mandate of the program is to level the playing field for underpriviledged children by providing them with the chance to play hockey while surrounded by their peers and positive role models.

Winnipeg Blues


The Winnipeg Blues (formerly the Winnipeg South Blues) are a Manitoba Junior Hockey League (MJHL) team playing out of the Bell MTS Iceplex. The Blues have won the Turnbull Cup (MJHL Championship) siz times, the Anavet Cup (MJHL/SJHL Championship) twice, and the Abbott Cup (Western Canadian Junior “A” Championship) once.

Balmoral Hall Blazers


Bell MTS Iceplex is the home of the Balmoral Hall Blazers hockey program. All games and practices of the Varsity Prep, as well as games for the Junior Varsity teams are hosted at Bell MTS Iceplex. Additionally, all spring and summer programming takes place at Bell MTS Iceplex.

St. Paul's High School Crusaders


St. Paul’s High School is an independent, Catholic, grades 9-12 university preparatory school for young men. The Crusaders, part of the Winnipeg High School Hockey League, play their home games at Bell MTS Iceplex.

Sledge Hockey Manitoba


Bell MTS Iceplex is the new home of Sledge Hockey Manitoba. All games and practice for the Senior and Junior teams take place at Bell MTS Iceplex. The Assiniboine Credit Union Rink at Bell MTS Iceplex has been specially outfitted to accommodate the unique needs of sledge hockey players.
